Amy Hartmann-Ohlson grew up in a family that embraced art, and her earliest memories are filled with creative exploration. She earned a BFA in ceramics from Mason Gross School of the Arts and a Masters in Art Education from Kean. Currently, she is enjoying her 10th year as an elementary art teacher in the Manville School district.

In her ceramic work, Amy uses various materials like raku, stoneware, earthenware, and porcelain. Her interest in clay goes back to her youth where she played with clay from the backyard, forming a lasting connection with the medium. Amy finds inspiration in childhood memories, the calligraphy of ancient texts, colors, textures, and shapes from the natural world, as well as contemporary paintings. Her artistic pursuits expand beyond ceramics, as she continues to play and learn about fiber arts and suminagashi (Japanese marbled ink). This ongoing exploration reflects her commitment to evolving as an artist.

Apart from her artistic endeavors, Amy has a long-lasting companionship with her high school sweetheart, spanning almost 30 years. They live happily together in Somerset County with their three children, as well as an array of furry and feathered friends.

Sharon Onderko's earliest memory with art was "drawing horses with my Dad on our living room wall just before he put up paneling." After graduating from Manville High, Sharon went to art school at Villa Maria College in Buffalo NY, where she studied graphic design and received a degree in commercial art. Her work career began at a photography lab, processing film and working with photographers in the area. Sharon moved on to work for 10 years in an advertising agency as a graphic designer and then as an art director of an in-house art department in a corporate office. This was all before computer graphics hit the big time. Self-taught in computer graphics, Sharon works with Photoshop and InDesign for a business in Somerville, maintaining the company website and designing all the marketing materials. Sharon has an appreciation for art history. She has been married to her husband Rich for 35+ years.
