Calling Artists in New Jersey. The Manville Arts Council is seeking artists to participate in our Art of Diabetes fundraiser event on November 6, 2016. Artists will be provided a no-cost table to promote and sell their work. We ask, that if you make any sales during the event, you make an optional donation to our cause. Google's annual design a Google Doodle contest began. Students from grades K-12 can enter a doodle around the theme "What I see for the future". Use any materials or style but you must incorporate the letters: G-O-O-G-L-E. Entries are being accepted now until December 2, 2016. There will be one national winner of a $30,000 scholarship. Go for it!

"The 2017 StudentCam competition will officially launch after Labor Day in September, 2016.
StudentCam is C-SPAN's annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation.
This year students in grades 6-12 are asked to create a short (5-7 minute) video documentary on a topic related to the new 2017 competition theme, "Your Message To Washington: What is the most urgent issue for the new president and Congress to address in 2017?"
With cash prizes totaling $100,000, C-SPAN will award prizes to 150 student documentaries, and 53 teacher advisors."
